Thank you for submitting your Milestone report. It is great to see that the cluster has not lost momentum as you move to the end of the contract in light of all the changes in personnel. That is a testament to the collegial relationships across the cluster and this also comes through in your report.
Each school has obviously been very busy with a range of professional development opportunities and teachers exploring new ideas and tools within their classroom programmes. As mentioned in the audio conference, it would be great if your experiences with online tools and games such Quest Atlantis or the blogging and wikis at Long Bay could be put into a digital story for the Time4Celebration conference. I'm sure others would benefit from hearing about this.
It is also great to see that experiences that teachers have at events such as Ulearn are being brought back into the schools and disseminated both within the school and across the cluster.
Schools reporting back on the impact of using the technologies such as Oteha's reflection on the rise of oral literacy through using tools such as PhotoStory, is a powerful way to communicate the reason for using these tools. The addition of student voice where children comment on their learning is an excellent model.
It is also interesting to see schools experimenting with ways to deliver PD such as the action research projects at Dairy Flat. It is great that the results of these have been published to the cluster wiki so that we can all share in the results of these projects.
Involving parents through the meetings where students presented their learning to the parents such as at Coatesville School is a valuable activity. Parents will always be more supportive if they can see the power of the tools and understand the direction that schools are trying to move towards with the integration of ICT.
The sharing sessions around the cluster schools were obviously successful and a great way for classroom teachers to have a chance to talk about what they are doing in their classrooms. It is wonderful to see Torbay School getting the students to run the workshops with teacher support. It is always very powerful if teachers see that students can manage the ICT and that they can be leaders and teachers in this area.
Thanks also for making great use of the data from the exit survey to help illustrate the gains you have made in the last three years.
You also obviously have a clear direction forward for next year with how you are going to continue to work as a group and on what areas you want to work towards sustaining.
Milestone 10
This is the final milestone, minus the financial report which is yet to be finalised
